Working Principle and Application of Small Liquid Nitrogen Generator Equipment

A-Series

Small liquid nitrogen generator equipment is a miniaturized cryogenic air separation device that integrates refrigeration, compression, purification, and liquefaction technologies, which can independently produce high-purity liquid nitrogen from atmospheric air on site without relying on external liquid nitrogen sources. Compared with large industrial cryogenic liquid nitrogen production equipment and traditional bottled liquid nitrogen procurement modes, small liquid nitrogen machines have the advantages of small floor area, low investment cost, simple operation, and low daily maintenance cost, which are suitable for small and medium-sized users with scattered liquid nitrogen demand and low to medium consumption. The equipment takes atmospheric air as the raw material, through multi-stage air purification to remove dust, water, oil, and carbon dioxide impurities, and then through cryogenic refrigeration and air liquefaction separation, finally realizes the preparation and storage of liquid nitrogen, providing convenient and sustainable liquid nitrogen supply for multiple industries.

In terms of core working process, the operation of small liquid nitrogen generators is divided into four core links: air purification, compression refrigeration, cryogenic separation, and liquid nitrogen storage. First, the air intake system sucks in atmospheric air, and the multi-stage precision filter removes solid dust, water vapor, oil stains, and trace carbon dioxide in the air to ensure the purity of the raw air and avoid impurity blocking the cryogenic pipeline and affecting liquefaction efficiency. Then, the purified air enters the compression system for constant-pressure compression, and the compressed air enters the refrigeration heat exchange system for rapid cooling and heat exchange, reducing the air temperature to the cryogenic liquefaction range. After that, the low-temperature air enters the separation system, relying on the different boiling points of nitrogen and oxygen to realize gas-liquid separation, extracting high-purity liquid nitrogen, while oxygen and other impurity gases are discharged as waste gas. Finally, the prepared liquid nitrogen is automatically injected into the supporting low-temperature storage tank for heat preservation and storage, realizing real-time production and real-time storage.

In terms of equipment parameters and application scenarios, small liquid nitrogen generators have diverse model specifications and wide application coverage. The equipment’s liquid nitrogen output ranges from 5L to 300L per day, with nitrogen purity up to 99.999%, and the liquefaction temperature is stably maintained at -196°C, meeting the low-temperature use standards of most laboratory and small industrial scenarios. The whole equipment adopts fully automatic intelligent control, realizing unattended continuous operation, with automatic liquid level control, automatic refrigeration adjustment, and fault self-diagnosis functions, and the operation threshold is low without professional cryogenic operation technicians. In terms of application, it is widely used in biomedical sample cryopreservation, university and scientific research institute laboratory low-temperature experiments, small food quick freezing processing, precision mechanical parts low-temperature assembly and demoulding, electronic component low-temperature testing, and other fields. The on-site self-production mode completely solves the problems of high transportation cost, low safety, and inconvenient storage of traditional bottled liquid nitrogen, providing an economical, efficient, and safe liquid nitrogen supply solution for small-demand users.
