Nitrogen Generator for FTIR Spectroscopy

Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) is a precise analytical technology widely used in material structure analysis, component identification and molecular characteristic detection, and its detection accuracy is extremely dependent on high-purity nitrogen environment. Nitrogen generators specially matched for FTIR spectroscopy are professional gas supply equipment customized for the working principle and detection characteristics of infrared spectrometers, mainly used for instrument internal purge, optical path protection and experimental atmosphere replacement, effectively eliminating the interference of water vapor, carbon dioxide and air impurities on infrared spectral signals and ensuring the accuracy of detection results.

The special performance requirements of FTIR nitrogen generators are reflected in ultra-low impurity content and high stability gas output. Water vapor and carbon dioxide in the air have strong absorption peaks in the infrared spectral region, which will cause serious baseline drift, spectral noise and peak distortion in FTIR detection, leading to inaccurate sample component analysis results. Dedicated FTIR nitrogen generators adopt multi-stage deep purification and drying technology, with nitrogen purity up to 99.999%, ultra-low dew point, and extremely low residual oxygen and carbon dioxide content. The stable constant-flow and constant-pressure output system ensures continuous and uniform purge gas supply for the FTIR instrument’s optical path and detection chamber, avoiding spectral signal fluctuation caused by unstable gas flow. The oil-free gas production design ensures no organic impurity pollution, preventing the adhesion of oil stains on the instrument’s optical lens and affecting the service life and detection performance of the equipment.

In long-term FTIR experimental application, professional nitrogen generators significantly improve experimental stability and data repeatability. Traditional natural air environment detection is easily affected by ambient temperature and humidity changes, resulting in inconsistent spectral baseline of multiple experiments and poor repeatability of detection data. The nitrogen atmosphere provided by the special generator can isolate external air interference, maintain a stable anhydrous and carbon dioxide-free detection environment inside the FTIR instrument, and make the spectral baseline stable and consistent for a long time. The equipment can operate continuously for 24 hours, meeting the needs of long-time instrument standby and batch sample detection. It is widely used in polymer material analysis, chemical component detection, environmental pollutant identification and pharmaceutical raw material testing, providing high-standard gas guarantee for high-precision infrared spectroscopy analysis experiments.
