The CMS (Carbon Molecular Sieve) nitrogen generator customized exclusively for PCB wave soldering is a dedicated on-site inert gas supply device optimized for through-hole PCB assembly and industrial wave soldering production lines, featuring stable purity output, low air consumption, and intelligent linkage with soldering equipment. Designed to match the high-temperature molten solder working environment of wave soldering machines, this generator delivers constant nitrogen purity ranging from 99.5% to 99.99%, which is the standard inert index required to eliminate oxygen interference inside the soldering furnace. Different from general industrial PSA nitrogen generators, it adopts electronic-grade refined CMS adsorbent with uniform pore size, which can rapidly separate oxygen, water vapor and carbon dioxide from compressed air within 0.2-second adsorption cycle, maintaining internal furnace oxygen content below 100ppm throughout continuous soldering operation. Equipped with multi-stage air pretreatment modules including oil-free dehumidifier, activated carbon filter and precision dust removal filter, the device controls outlet gas dew point below -60°C, avoiding flux hydrolysis, solder bead cracking and PCB surface oxidation caused by moist gas in high-temperature soldering workshops.
This nitrogen generator realizes seamless linkage with mainstream automatic wave soldering equipment via built-in PLC intelligent control system, supporting automatic flow adjustment according to PCB board size, conveyor speed and soldering temperature. During mass PCB batch production, it forms a complete oxygen-isolated protective atmosphere above the tin furnace surface, which greatly restrains dross generation on molten solder surface. Statistics from electronic manufacturing workshops show that matched CMS nitrogen generators can reduce solder dross production by over 75%, cut solder bar consumption by 18% to 25%, and minimize common soldering defects such as poor tin wetting, cold joints, component pin oxidation and golden finger discoloration. For high-precision PCB products used in automotive electronics, communication circuit boards and industrial control motherboards, nitrogen protection also improves soldering joint tensile strength and corrosion resistance, extending the overall service life of finished circuit boards.
In terms of operational and maintenance performance, the wave soldering dedicated CMS nitrogen generator adopts dual-tower alternating adsorption structure to ensure 24-hour uninterrupted nitrogen supply without shutdown interruption. It is embedded with real-time purity monitoring sensors and automatic alarm modules, which will trigger audible and visual alerts and automatically cut off unqualified gas output once nitrogen purity drops below set values. Compared with traditional liquid nitrogen tank outsourcing gas supply, the on-site generator reduces long-term gas procurement, transportation and cylinder leasing costs by over 40%. The whole machine adopts explosion-proof and dust-proof cabinet design, adapts to high-temperature, flux-fume filled soldering workshop environment, and the service life of imported carbon molecular sieve reaches 6 to 8 years with regular air filter replacement, which meets long-term stable production demands of medium and large-scale PCB assembly factories worldwide.
