The PSA Nitrogen Generation System is a core mainstream equipment for on-site nitrogen production in modern industries. Adopting mature pressure swing adsorption gas separation technology, it takes air as the raw material and realizes precise nitrogen-oxygen separation through the selective adsorption characteristics of carbon molecular sieves, completing the gas production process fully automatically. Compared with traditional liquid nitrogen procurement and air separation nitrogen production modes, this system is suitable for industrial continuous production scenarios, featuring high efficiency, energy saving and low operation and maintenance costs. From the perspective of production technology, the PSA nitrogen generation system has standardized and modular production procedures with fully closed-loop and controllable operations. The complete industrial gas production system consists of four core processes. Firstly, in the air compression process, atmospheric air is pressurized to the required process pressure by a special air compressor to provide power foundation for gas separation and ensure the stability of subsequent adsorption operations. Secondly, in the air pretreatment process, compressed air passes through demisters, precision filters and activated carbon filters in sequence to completely remove liquid water, oil mist, dust and harmful impurities in the air. It prevents pollutants from blocking the micropores of carbon molecular sieves and corroding equipment pipelines, protects core adsorption components fundamentally, extends equipment service life and stabilizes nitrogen purity.
The core production links are adsorption separation and regeneration cycle processes. The system adopts a parallel double adsorption tower structure and realizes automatic time-sequence switching through a programmable control system. The pretreated clean compressed air enters the adsorption tower. Under the set pressure condition, the carbon molecular sieve quickly adsorbs oxygen, carbon dioxide and other impurity gases in the air. Nitrogen is not adsorbed due to its molecular characteristics, penetrates the adsorption bed to become finished nitrogen gas and completes gas separation. Meanwhile, the other group of adsorption towers performs pressure relief and desynchronization synchronously. Through rapid pressure relief and reverse purging with a small amount of finished nitrogen, the oxygen adsorbed by the molecular sieve is completely desorbed and discharged to realize the regeneration and reset of the adsorbent. The two towers alternately complete the closed-loop cycle of pressure adsorption and pressure relief regeneration, realizing 24-hour uninterrupted continuous gas production, which fully meets the demand for non-stop operation of industrial production lines.
In terms of industrial production implementation, the PSA nitrogen generation system has strong production adaptability and economical efficiency. The equipment can produce qualified high-purity nitrogen within several minutes after startup without long-time preheating and commissioning, which can quickly adapt to the start-stop rhythm of production lines and effectively reduce standby production energy consumption. The nitrogen purity can be flexibly adjusted according to production working conditions, covering the full range from 95% to 99.999%. It can adapt to differentiated production standards of various industries, accurately matching high-precision application scenarios such as industrial purging, protective gas supply, electronic packaging, lithium battery production and chemical explosion-proof.
In terms of production operation, maintenance and capacity guarantee, the system adopts an integrated modular design with compact structure and small floor space. It is easy to install and commission without complex infrastructure supporting, and can quickly adapt to the existing production layout of factories. With full-automatic intelligent control, it requires no on-duty personnel. The system can real-timely monitor core parameters such as nitrogen purity, pressure and flow, and realize automatic alarm and intelligent pressure regulation under abnormal working conditions. It effectively avoids manual operation errors, ensures stable gas supply parameters, and prevents the fluctuation of nitrogen purity from affecting product yield. Meanwhile, the equipment features low energy consumption and loss. Compared with purchased liquid nitrogen, it greatly reduces the long-term gas cost of enterprises, eliminates the problems of liquid nitrogen transportation, storage and volatilization loss, and achieves higher production safety.
