Nitrogen Generator for TGA Analysis

Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) is an important thermal analysis technology used to detect the thermal stability, thermal decomposition process and component content of materials, and high-purity nitrogen is the key protective and carrier gas for TGA testing. Special nitrogen generators for TGA analysis are professionally developed according to the thermal testing environment requirements of thermogravimetric analyzers, providing stable inert nitrogen atmosphere for material thermal decomposition experiments, preventing sample oxidation, secondary reaction and high-temperature corrosion, and ensuring the authenticity and accuracy of material thermal weight loss data.

TGA analysis has strict requirements on nitrogen purity, flow stability and gas dryness, and dedicated nitrogen generators fully meet the special working conditions of thermal analysis experiments. In the high-temperature testing process of TGA (usually room temperature to 1000℃ or higher), oxygen in the air will cause oxidative decomposition of the sample, and moisture will cause sample hydrolysis and instrument furnace tube corrosion, resulting in distorted thermal weight loss curves and wrong experimental conclusions. TGA-specific nitrogen generators adopt high-efficiency PSA purification technology to produce nitrogen with purity higher than 99.999%, which can completely isolate oxygen and moisture interference. The precise flow control system realizes stable low-flow continuous gas supply, matching the slow heating and long-term constant temperature testing mode of TGA instruments, avoiding sample splashing and data fluctuation caused by excessive gas flow, and ensuring the stable progress of thermal analysis experiments.

The application value of special nitrogen generators in TGA laboratory testing is mainly reflected in improving experimental accuracy and protecting precision instruments. Long-term use of unqualified nitrogen or unstable gas supply will lead to inconsistent experimental blank baseline, poor repeatability of thermal weight loss data, and even damage to the TGA instrument’s high-temperature furnace tube and sensor. Professional TGA nitrogen generators have ultra-low dew point and zero-oil gas output characteristics, which can effectively protect the internal precision components of the instrument and extend the service life of the equipment. The equipment supports 24-hour continuous stable operation, adapting to batch material thermal analysis testing and long-term constant temperature thermal stability experiments. It is widely used in polymer materials, new energy materials, inorganic non-metallic materials and pharmaceutical material thermal performance testing, providing reliable inert atmosphere guarantee for TGA precision thermal analysis.
