  A membrane nitrogen generation unit is an on-site nitrogen production system that uses hollow fiber membranes as the core separation medium. Its operating principle is based on the difference in permeation rates of different gas molecules through polymer membranes: after pretreatment, compressed air enters the membrane module, where “fast gases” such as oxygen, carbon dioxide, and water vapor preferentially permeate through the membrane wall and are vented, while nitrogen, as the “slow gas,” is enriched and delivered on the retentate side, achieving continuous separation of air. The entire system requires no phase change and no chemical adsorbents, producing nitrogen immediately upon startup. It is a highly efficient and energy-saving alternative to conventional cryogenic nitrogen generation and PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) nitrogen generation.
