High-purity nitrogen generators dedicated to laboratory gas chromatography (GC) are precision gas supply equipment designed to meet the strict gas purity and stability requirements of chromatographic analysis. Unlike industrial-grade nitrogen generators, GC-type nitrogen generators focus on ultra-low impurity content, stable flow output, and high-precision pressure control, which are core guarantees for accurate GC detection results. The core technical parameters cover nitrogen purity, output flow, working pressure, impurity indicators, and environmental adaptation parameters, all of which comply with international analytical instrument gas supply standards and laboratory testing specifications.
Nitrogen purity and impurity control are the most critical parameters for GC dedicated equipment. Qualified laboratory GC nitrogen generators can achieve a purity of 99.999% to 99.9995%, which fully meets the requirements of conventional gas chromatography, high-performance liquid chromatography, and trace organic analysis. In terms of impurity control, the oxygen content in output nitrogen is strictly controlled below 3 ppm, the dew point is lower than -56°C, and the total hydrocarbon content is less than 0.05 ppm. These indicators effectively avoid baseline drift, peak distortion, and impurity interference in chromatographic detection, eliminating the adverse effects of moisture, oxygen, and organic impurities on capillary columns and detectors such as FID and TCD.
In terms of operating performance parameters, standard GC nitrogen generators support adjustable output flow ranging from 0 to 1000 mL/min, with a flow fluctuation error controlled within ±0.05 mL/min to ensure stable gas supply during continuous instrument operation. The rated output working pressure is 0.4 MPa to 0.55 MPa, with automatic pressure stabilization and overpressure protection functions, adapting to the air intake pressure requirements of mainstream GC instruments. The equipment operates with a working voltage of 220V/50Hz, low power consumption, and a working temperature range of 5°C to 35°C, suitable for conventional laboratory indoor environments.
In addition, the equipment has complete structural and safety parameters. The overall size is compact, usually 406mm×380mm×540mm, with a weight of about 38kg, saving laboratory space. It adopts carbon molecular sieve pressure swing adsorption and catalytic oxidation purification technology, with a long service life of core components.
